Harveys Supermarket

The J.H. Harvey Co. operates about 70 Harveys supermarkets mostly in southern Georgia but also in north Florida. Founded in 1950, the regional grocery chain was acquired in 2003 by international food retailer Delhaize Group and became its Belgian parent’s fourth US banner. Under Delhaize’s ownership, Harveys is growing, with about 15 new stores added since the acquisition. The new stores belonged to the Food Lion supermarket chain (also owned by Delhaize) and were converted to the Harveys banner in 2005.
